Arsenal target and Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele is reportedly available for £53.7million in the summer transfer window.
Dembele, 22, arrived from Borussia Dortmund in 2017 for a staggering £135.5million with many believing he would help ease the pain of losing Brazilian superstar Neymar, but injuries have plagued his time at the Bernabeu and he has not fulfilled his potential.
That has led to alot of transfer speculation in the media on a daily basis that Dembele could be sold at the end of the season, especially with the Coronavirus hitting clubs financially, with Arsenal reportedly keen on the winger.
Mikel Arteta does not need to add to his wing areas of the pitch as he has enough quality, but Arsenal have been constantly linked with a move, as they seek to try and build a squad that is more than capable of challenging for that Premier League title.
Injuries have been a big problem for him, but so has finding the back of the net, with just 19 goals in 74 appearances across all competitions in a Barca shirt, but Arsenal are still reportedly interested in a transfer deal.
Now, According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are keen to get him off their books.
It has been stated that Barcelona will only seek around £53 million to Let Dembele leave the club in the transfer window, alot less than the £135.5 million that they paid to sign him up just a few seasons ago.
Dembele is still a talent that could go on to have a big future in the game, but his injury issues are a concern and the fact that he has failed at Barcelona so much would question whether he is good enough anymore?
The Gunners need to work on other areas of the pitch before they delve into that transfer kitty and sign Dembele, especially as he is not needed in the side right now.
So even though he will be on the market for a small fee, he is not worth buying just yet for Arsenal.
