The 2022/23 season has started well for Napoli, who have obliterated their domestic and European opponents as they seek to win the Serie A and Champions League. With 30 league goals scored in just 12 matches, the high-flying club dominated the Serie A table as October came to a close. The club scored another 20 goals in just five Champions League matches in a difficult Group A. With his creativity and goal-scoring ability, Kvaratskhelia has torn teams apart on either the left wing or as an attacking midfielder at the No. 10 position. In the Italian top flight, Kvaratskhelia's 0.33 expected assists per 90 minutes rank first among all players with at least eight league appearances, and his six goals are more than any other player in the top 20 chance creators. In honor of the Argentinian, the team's stadium was renamed "Stadio Diego Armando Maradona" following his death in 2020. As a player, Kvaratskhelia exhibits a similar style, dazzling fans with his staggering movements when he runs with the ball. His high-risk, high-reward style of play often results in him losing possession as a result of running one-on-one with opponents. In Europe's top five leagues, Kvaratskhelia was eighth in terms of dribble attempts with 64, but he has by far the lowest success rate, completing just 19 of them for a 29.69 percent success rate. Though he lost possession 162 times, he does not stand out among the high-frequency dribblers, and his 3.26 expected assists are higher than all but two players above him.
